If you’re a Flames fan that isn’t a Brodie fan, then you definitely want no part of Ghost.

Not sure why Karnakhov, Mattson or Foo are included, none of them have any value

Flyers counter

Couturier, Vailyev, Mattson ,and Bernhardt (player with equal potential to what was offered )
for
Hanifin , Stone ,Jakob Pelltier (and a 1st because you got no prospect with Patrick's value or even close ) , Koumontizs and a 1st .

that would be two 1st because you got not a single prospect close to Patrick and your top prospects a midget on an all star team where i live and at best might be a less productive Connor Garland .

Hanifin , and two 1st's is more or less the cost with the other players on either side washing eachother out for argument sake.
you dont think that's high for a 26 year old Center ? ( i mean i love Sean and what he does for our NB Junior hockey practicing with different QMJHL teams during the summer to train and motivate young Nb'ers but that seems steep )

This trade makes no sense for both sides.

I think your overvaluing Patrick a little dont get me wrong I think hes great and we dont know what we are going to get after almost a year of not playing

then dont trade for him as there's no more of a chance they trade their former #2 OA Center anymore then MTL would Kotkanemi .

alright all jokes aside you want JG i'd say you're looking at this for a player who's career low is 60 pts :

Gostisbhere, O'brien , Fedotov , and a 1st

i mean what would PHI have given up Vorachek in his prime for ?
to me that's what you're asking CGY to do .

this trade gives both teams value especially CGY because they get a top 4 NHL D for today , a young player who was smart enough to hit reset after a rough college year returning to bchl for his last year of junior before joining a superior college program in BOS University which will help him reach middle 6 projections and maybe more , a very consistent big bodied KHL goalie with impressive career numbers thus far, and a 1st because PHI didnt give up a single one of their top 3 prospects giving up projects who will need 2-3 years to get transitioned to the NHL so the 1st is important .

PHI gives up only 1 roster player in Ghost and add a top line player on any contender .
Gaudreau-Giroux-Koenechy(capable of multi 80-90 point players if not more)
JVR-Couturier-Vorachek(capable of multi 50-60 point players if not more )

You won't get Gaudreau for a bunch of projects even ghost is not great so it a mid first a alright dman and a bunch of maybes probably nots.

He also won't be sold on what hes done In one done in one down season it will be on his previous 5 years of work and his 2 1/2 year cheek cap hit
