Description
Hello hello.

I’m very curious about Kaprizov’s value. He is a top flight prospect but I’m unsure what he’s worth at the moment. Would be awesome if the Habs could acquire him somehow.

Drop your mock trades for him.

That’s what I thought.

But if he were to be dealt, what do you think he would get as a return?

If we give something like Poehling, Brook and a first top 15?

How much would you value a player that has potential to be the best player the Wild's franchise has ever seen? Because that much, and then more

Dude looks good but this seems a bit much. He's 22 and point per game but not beyond everyone else in the KHL. I don't see what makes him look better than Gaborik.

If he didn't have such injury problems he would have been one of the best problems of the decade of his 20s

As @TanSor said, 0% chance the Wild move him. He's the exact type of player this team has been starved for. Whether he ends up being as good as fans hope is another thing, but they wouldn't move him until they've given him a chance.

As someone who watched Gaborik and has seen many games of Kaprizov in the KHL, Kaprizov is way more skilled than Gaborik ever was. Gaborik had speed, decent hands, and a great shot but Kaprizov blows Gaborik's playmaking and creativity out of the water in addition to having hands, speed, and the shot. Gaborik had one season above 70 points on the Wild with 83 points in 77 games, but his next best season was 67 points in 78 games. I see Kaprizov as a consistent 70+ point player

Keep in mind, the Wild have been starved for a truly top-flight offensive force since Gaborik left.

Kaprizov is essentially and potentially the next Panarin. If Habs want him, the offering starts from Suzuki+some other good assets.

My hope is they find a good center for him and try him on a line with Fiala. If they have any chemistry, they'd make a fun pair to watch.

I think this is a fair assessment. My question is what are the odds he actually leaves the KHL? I don’t have any inside info or anything, but he’s probably making solid money in the KHL, doubt he’d come over and be forced to take an ELC...at what age can he take a 1 year ELC?

Gaboriks problem was health. He didn't have more 70+ point seasons because he couldn't stay healthy.

ESPN made some report of him I think...his contract expires after this year and he should start his NHL career the next year.

That means nothing. Romanov’s contract is also expiring with CSKA, and there’s still no guarantee he’s coming over. MTLs chances of signing him are still good imo but that’s because Romanov has only played 2 seasons in the KHL, and plays largely in a supporting role. Kaprizov has 3 seasons in the KHL playing as one of the leagues superstars. If CSKA can offer $4-5mil+ guaranteed money on his next deal, will be hard for to come over taking a 2year ELC. Might as well wait till he turns 24 so he can just sign a 1yesr ELC.

I think it was claimed that he wants to come the next year...and there's really nothing to prevent him from doing that.
