For both Weise and Alzner you would have to pay to get rid of them, they have negative value! Nobody would give a pick.

Weise you could probably get a 7th out of at the deadline if the habs retained 50%. But yeah, no way in hell anyone takes Alzner for free.

Even that is a "maybe". It's only if there's a heavily injured team that actually thinks Weise can take on 4th line role in the playoffs. But realistically, there are better players available all across the league--why go for the bottom of the barrel?

Weise's time in the NHL is done, but he's still a great leader for the AHL.
