I know the draft is far but still

Created by: math731
Team: 2019-20 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 9, 2020
Published: Feb. 9, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
In this scenario, MIN is picking 7 or 8 and MTL between 14 and 16. The 6 first picks are Laffy, Byfield, Stutzle, Raymond, Askarov and Lundell. That means Lundell is no longer available (a C that must interest MIN) and that Drysdale is still there. Would MIN made this trade? THis allows them to get a former first round pick and MIN native with great potential at C as well as a top 15 pick that might end up being one of Lapierre, Zary, Gunler, Holloway or whoever that might be available.

That's a tough one. Its probably fair value. But teams really really really hate moving down from the top 10 in drafts. I would think MIN passes

I don’t do it if I’m the habs. With all the organizational depth we have at LD, there’s no reason to overpay for one. I’d rather have Poehling and whatever forward (or maybe a defenseman, but I doubt it) that we would get in the 14-16 range.

I'd rather just take Braden Schneider in the 14-15 range if we don't get a decent-sized forward like Holtz.

I get it but Drysdale is a Makar potential dmen playing right. We have plenty of LHD but no one to replace Weber on the long term. If not, I think Sanderson might be the guy instead of Schneider

Lol same as @MaxDomi13, I thought he was a LHD. I feel like such an idiot. This definitely makes sense.
