I think this season would’ve went differently if we had’ve stayed healthy. That said we need to focus on having a
young talented team in the future. Next year may not go well but we got to cash in on the veterans.

These Petry trades keep getting worse,

Also, Dougie will return before the playoffs, so we have no need to toss away a bright future for him.

Unfortunately you will not get those high draft picks back. But let's assume you do and Habs have a lot of picks in the first two rounds as you have demonstrated. You now have another issue. You have a younger core with aging veterans in Weber and Price. If you do decide to trade those players away, then you should move the other two as well and build around the younger core while adding your draft picks. If Habs stayed healthy this year and not had those two long 8 game losing streaks, they are in the playoff's.
