One of these days I’ll see a leafs trade where the leafs actually give up major assets, rather than a bunch of mid level stuff.

Imo here is my break down
Kase for johnsson - wash
Kapanen for Henrique + 2 5ths - favouring ANA a bit
Kivihalme for a 5th - wash
Holl + Bracco for Manson and retaining $12M over 4 years -Absolutely ridiculously favouring the leafs

Overpay on Dermott and Mikayev. Arumble underpay on Engvall and Gauthier. I really like the Muzzin signing.

Now the trade... I don't know why either team is doing this. Ducks are giving up a good D WITH term and 2 decent to good forwards for...? 2 maybes, a D that's played less then 50 NHL games and 2 middle 6 guys? On flip side why is Leafs trading assets for a D when there should be plenty on July 1st? Unless this is a TDL move but even then... that's a lot of movement for a fringe playoff team.
