I think alot of these trades make sense and like the idea of getting on with the rebuild and acquiring lots of draft picks. I also think it it is wise to move on from Stome and Nylander now while they still have value as not sure if they have much more upside.

Because Strome and Cat are two peas in a pod and should reunite with their Erie Otter buddy McDavid.

That makes sense and would probably help keep McDavid more happy in Edmonton with some of his buddies so he does not request a trade out of Edmonton in the near future.

I have followed Strome alot and was really glad that the Leafs drafted Marner after Strome in his draft year. Not sure why and it may be his weaker skating but he has not really developed into the star player in the NHL that he was in junior. Could also be that his junior stats were inflated playing on the great Erie Otters teams. Hawks are probably making a good move to move on from Stome now.

Carolina reject. Too much a price for too little an upgrade

That Edmonton trade though is.... somthing. Very creative. I don't know if you get Broberg RNH and a 1st from a team that doesn't know if they'll get playoff hockey, it's a creative idea for sure.

Listen, If McDavid wants DeBrincat then Broberg will go to keep McDavid happy.

Think you are right that Carolina would not want to give up the 1rst round draft pick as too much value given up.

There's no point. Reimer's stood on his head, why overpay to strengthen what's probably been our strongest position? Certainly from an analytical standpoint has our goaltending been good

Not sure why the Hawks would even want Galchenyuk as he seems to wear out his welcome with every team he plays for very quickly.

I am wondering about your draft pick trade as it is very creative and assume trying to postion for the No. 1 overall pick. However, I think I would sooner have the three first round picks as could really rebuild my team faster if you hit on all 3 of the picks. There is not certainity with the draft lottery of even winning the No. 1 overall pick.

Just trying to score a couple top 8 picks. Guys like Shultze, Raymond, Holtz, Rossi, etc. Getting 2 of these guys (not to mention a shot at AF or Byfield) would be huge for the future.

I'm terrified that Bowman actually will trade DeBrincat. I don't care if he's having a bad season, the dude will be a 50 goal scorer in the NHL for years.

I’d say just do RNH for Strome 1 for 1 or RNH + 1st next year for debrincat+

On the Oilers he might be but it looks like not in Chicago. For whatever reason its not working there.

That's fair and interesting trades for sure. As a Hawks fan I'd love to see Kane and RNH together. Oilers get a good deal too.

Yeah, Oilers get the 22 year old with a lot of upside that will be cheaper then RNH...bad trade for the Hawks, oilers would need to add.

Nope; Oilers need to add. You're not getting a 22 year old with tons of upside that will be cheaper to bridge or same price long term as RNH. Oilers need to add to that. The proposed deal above the value is pretty spot on IMO.
