I like that deal for the Sens. Tough to say if Sakic gives up Jost, but it's a win now move for sure

Um... how dare you play Reilly before my boy Jaros.

Also, I like those picks. Not a bad consolation prize to have Byfield and Raymond.

Leave Byfield alone! I plan to keep my fingers crossed, PJ's on inside out, pray nightly to whatever god Pedro Cirano prayed to in Major League, and do whatever else it takes for Anaheim to get him.

But yeah, if I'm the Sens and get Byfield, then the best option if Drysdale is gone early (He should be), is to pick up one of Stutzle, Holtz or Raymond. IMO it's much more beneficial to let any of those 3 develop for another year or two in Europe than it is to have them overpower the entire CHL.

Under the current circumstance, sure. I just view Reilly as redundant with Brann, Wolanin and Chabot on the left. He's automatically 7th D next year. Which is where he should be.

Those 3 should be in the AHL next year. And Byfield would be a great add for anyone but I feel like Anaheim has really good C depth, they need top end wingers or RHD

I can't think of worse nightmares than having Byfield tutored by Getzlaf and then have both him and Zegras down the middle. Talk about centre depth... Getzalf ain't a bad 3rd line centre...

I'd be happy with a C core of Getzy, Rico, Zegras and Byfield. Terry/Steel can both play on the wing.

Something tells me that Henrique will end up in Seattle (Though the 10 team NTC might make that moot).

Think it would probably be easier to find help on the back end in FA than it would be to get it up front. Taylor Hall would be massive, but I doubt the Ducks open the Disney vault for him.

100%. Plus Henrique is a solid 2 way guy that can definitely help shut down the oppositions top lines.

Worst case scenario is shift Byfield/Zegras to the wing. As you mentioned above to play Terry/Steel on wings as well... I just remembered you guys had Sam Steel, too...

Solid young squad. Beef up things at RD, and all of the sudden they could get sneaky good very quickly.

But, if you ever say that to a Leafs fan, it's suddenly "tRaDe EvErYoNe!!! You guys are going to suck for a long time!!!!".

Wonder where Askarov ends up? I've seen a couple of mock drafts with him going to the Habs, which makes zero sense to me, and I wonder if the Sabres would be scared off from picking goaltenders in the 1st round.

I think Askarov drops a few spots. Just because teams don't want to miss out on the guys on the top. Maybe L.A.?

Price and Primeau will be 1-2 I think... goalies develop weird though so who knows.

Yeah, draftsite has him in the top 10 (9th), but I could see one of Chicago, Nashville or New Jersey taking a run at him.

If he slips to 15th ish, Detroit would be smart to try and pick up a mid-1st pick and steal him.
