The Red Wings trade makes negative sense for Detroit

No where even close on Dillon, you are way overvaluing Timashov.

Detroit says Hell No, And Minnesota laugh at that offer, For the last time Minnesota doesn't need more wingers, They need C upgrades which your trade doesn't address. Detroit and Minnesota easily decline.

Dillon is an old rental player which is not helping them for Timashov who is a young prospect. And could develop into a top 9 F plus a 4th round pick

And we're not dealing Veleno and Svechnikov either especially not for a 2022 1st round pick+2020 7th round pick that's laugh both combined are worth more then that.

What to do? Well, according to you, offer a bunch of dog crap trades that are so low in value they’re insulting.

Timashov is a 4th liner at best. Stop thinking he’s more than that.

One deal with one team should do it for Toronto, as far as making potentially significant changes to this lineup, and that would be with New Jersey. The Leafs would trade for Severson, Coleman and Simmonds (who is a UFA rental, but who they can now afford with their big LTIR relief), and part with some future assets (not Liljegren) to make this happen. They probably should also trade Barrie, and whatever assets they acquired should be put into this NJ deal. Both Severson and Coleman have term left on their deal. Severson is solid D, and an upgrade defensively over both Ceci and Barrie (not that that's saying much). Coleman is tenacious. He reminds me a lot of Trevor Moore but with better hands and a better shot.

Rebuilding teams rarely trade prospects for future prospects. That just keeps them in a rebuild
