Ya, I think I would. Certainly in the top 50, meaning he’s a legit top pair guy. Those guys don’t get moved for a middle six winger, an okay prospect, and a 2nd, especially when they have 3 years of term with a nice AAV

well top 50 and top 25 is a lot different, i get what ur saying., but the asking pricd seems to be base off his career year. liljegren is more than an ok prospect, if thats the case the urho is also "okay" maybe even a tad worse

There’s a pretty big difference between developing in the AHL because you’re behind Krug, Chara, and Grzelcyk, and getting spot duty due to injury (he got called up last year, looked great, and then some dingbat on Ottawa elbowed him in the face and gave him a pretty bad concussion), and not being able to crack the lineup in an absolute trash bag blue line.

Notice, I’m not trying to trade Vaak, kuhlman, and a 2nd for dumba.

nor am I trying for the other one, and that trade is worse than the leafs one, kapanen>kuhlman, hes having an off year sure, but hes still better, so i dont really get what youre trying to get at here

Well, i guess my overall point is taht this package isn’t close to what it would take to get dumba.

My smaller point is that i don’t think that liljigren is as high end a prospect as some in leaf land think he is. I think the evidence of that is how frequently you see leaf fans propose a trade with him and bracco and this and that. Two years ago it would have been unheard of. He was a future first pair D, maybe even a number one, and Bracco was a sure bet to be in the top six on his entry level deal. I’ve noticed a big time trend from ACGM teams generated by leaf fans (I’m not trying to say bruins fans are geniuses by the way, I think the majority are absolute morons): when they start to realize, maybe even subconsciously that a player isn’t that good, they start to be trade bait, but still somehow maintaining their high end value.
