I have a feeling if they traded Eichel to Toronto they would probably want one of Marner, or Matthews.

Not even enough for Jack Eichel, One of either Marner or Matthews would need to be going to Buffalo. Nylander doesn't even move the dial for them.

Player requesting a trade puts a team in a bad spot. Greatly reduces the return.

There's a major difference between a player like Biff Bazooper the failing prospect requesting a trade, and a player at the caliber of Eichel requesting a trade.

Also if a player requests a trade it doesnt mean the team HAS to trade them, its called a request.

Still greatly reduces the return.

Please stop.

1. They would not trade him to a divison rival

2. He never said anything

3. Teams want players who are driving the bus and not players who are jumping on us. He is part of that team and therefore also a part of the overall situation

First off Jack Eichel is an elite talent, Possibly generational player. Those kind of players asking for a trade doesn't diminish their value in the very least.

The point I was implying is that it does not reduce the return. Eichel is the first line centre on nearly every team in the league.

I'll have you know that there's no such mention of Biff Bazooper on any reputable hockey resources site. So I fail to see your analogy.

Its hypothetical and it does reduce the return. I'd be happy to trade Marner in a package for Eichel though. Matthew's would need Dahlin coming back with Eichel.

Dude no it doesn't? It doesn't matter what Eichel wants even if he wants out Botterill doesn't have to deal him unless he gets the kind of return that absolutely blows him away. And your offer doesn't do that. And to say that Matthews value is Eichel+Dahlin is laugh Dahlin by himself is a generational Dman probably close to the next Lidstrom in his prime both Eichel and Dahlin together have more value then Matthews.

to much quantity , not enough quantity .
requesting a trade may turn some teams off but not when they're a top 10 players in the NHL
only a fool would Consider a world where TML 3rd liners and a late 1st lands Eichel .

that's like if MTL offers TML Domi ,Lehkonen , Armia ,Suzuki, and a 1st for Mathews

Not for nothing, but the fact that you have Eichel on the wing in any scenario is hilarious.

It is however cool to see Jack finally getting some love. That guy is an animal. Would need Marner/Matthews+ to make it happen.

How does one not know about the legendary average prospect Biff Bazooper? His insanely average statistics are almost unheard of! The analytics community are very high on the guy though....

Because he controlled the destination. Eichel doesn't have a no-trade and you're a divisional rival. You're sending Marner or Matthews or they say no.
