If you have aspirations of winning, somehow try to trade a scratched YG for an actual top pairing RHD instead who you have there with this roster. I wish the Bolts all the success otherwise!

Offersheets will definitely happen, just like the world was definitely going to end in 2012.

There wont be an offersheet this summer

Would love to move Gourde but there is a 5.1 million dollar x 5 contract

Thing is, why would any of these players agree to leave the Lightning for 3 rebuilding teams? You have to offer serious cash in order to convince them to leave

Killorn might be the guy moved. His NTC becomes modified and allows for a 16 team yes list next season.

These 3 guys aren't taking offer sheets to leave Tampa and go places where they A. Have a much worse chance to win a cup, and B. Will pay considerably higher taxes. Offer sheets are very rare and Tampa won't be losing these players to one. The only one of the 3 that has even a slight chance of being moved would be Cernak, and even then it seems doubtful. Tampa will move Killorn if none of the full NTC's waive, and then move out another smaller hit if needed before losing one of these 3 imo.

I'm a Detroit fan and I don't think that is enough for Sergachev. Obviously I wouldn't turn it away though.

And factor in the tax benefits Tampa has, that "higher" number might not be worth it somewhere else. Here's the 'John Tavares Calculator' for those curious - https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/tavares-calculator

edit: Capfriendly also has a tax calculator - https://www.capfriendly.com/income-tax-calculator

Yes, but Las Vegas and Dallas aren't rebuilding teams . . .

And there are certain financial/commercial advantages to being in Los Angeles or New York . . .

Las Vegas and Dallas aren't rebuilding teams, and also have tax advantages.

Sorry, but why do you bring up LV and Dallas? This thread has 3 offer sheets going to Detroit, LA and Montreal

Because they are in two states that, like Florida, have no state income tax. Now your comment, which is correct, that other states/provinces have actual financial dis-incentives to moving evaporates. Your point about the three offer sheets mentioned in the construction remains completely valid, of course.

I used the offer sheet rules. At 6.2 the penalty is a first and a third
