Hawks aren't getting a 2nd for Andrew Shaw. They're probably also not getting Kotkaniemi AND a second for Saad.

If you dont think your a playoff team dont pay him. Sign griess or markstrom save 2.5 or 3 million bucks

Greiss and Markstrom have good defenses in front of them. They'd be hung out to dry in Chicago lol

Wishful thinking perhaps. The point though is to highlight that Hawks must deal 3 roster players AND buyout Zack Smith to fit Seabrook and Lehner contracts next season.

Not very practical to think teams are going to take those three Hawk players in the trades...wihtout sending cap to Hawks.

1) I think Strome is signed for too much for too long. I’d love to see him on a bridge to prove himself. He’s in a little slump this year let him prove last year wasn’t a fluke.

2) if Shaw is LTIR next year they should keep him and use it for cap space a la Toronto.

3) Kubalik might be overpriced a little.

4) I don’t think Carolina needs Maatta. D is an area of strength for them and they have a surplus.

5) Montreal is not trading JK.

GM's have been known to make stupid trades throughout history. Shaw might be the only player that will be truly difficult to move...
