If Namesntikov signs a max contract (in terms of length), he's not going to commit to only $2m per year. Yzerman will probably sign him to the same contract Johnson and Palat had ($3.33m for 3). Also, same for Nesterov, not saying same contract but a short-term contract.

ANA just acquired Bernier, so not sure why you would think Lehtonen there makes sense, also they are trying to trade Fowler because they have too many dmen, so Garrison makes zero sense. They are also are in market for top 6 forward. So that is awful proposal from ANA POV.

You just set TB back. Why trade Johnson? You can probably give them Bishop and take back Niemi, a 1st and a 2nd. Ya Anaheim has made it clear they want to shed salary instead of taking on more, but maybe they'll take Niemi for Bernier straight up, you're saving a year's worth of cap hit and Bernier is 400 grand cheaper . Nesterov and nemestnikov would never settle for that. BTW, TB'S top 6 is pretty solid, you don't really need silferberg. And TB has a solid goalie prospect in KG to back up Vasilevski the year after.
