I don’t get why we’d move McGinn. I know he makes too much to be a 4th liner, but he’s our best PK forward and can play with anyone in our forward lineup in a pinch if he has too.

Who would you scratch then? Keeping Wallmark or Nino out of the lineup is just dumb. Foegele is a key piece to this current team, so I dont think he could be scratched either. Martinook is the odd man out right now (which sucks). Martinook being injured right now, kind of helps the problem ( not sure how long hes going to be out)

Easy no from LA. They're rebuilding and wanting younger prospects and picks. They'll likely move Toffoli and Martinez in separate deals to maximize the return. Edmundson is of no use to them.
The price for Martinez is probably similar to the Jake Muzzin return and I doubt LA retains anything on him since he has another year left after this one. Something similar to this would get a deal done for both sides:

Carolina Hurricanes
Alec Martinez

Los Angeles Kings
Haydn Fleury
Julien Gauthier
Carolina 2020 1st round pick

In that case Canes decline quickly

I don’t pay the price for both TT and Martinez. My guess is the Kings would try to maximize the return by making two separate deals for both players. Also my guess is the Kings will be asking too much for either guy.

laugh No way does Martinez get that kind of return, That's like 2 1st round picks right there as Haydn Fleury was a 1st round pick. Martinez is decent he's not that great.

That's not that bad of a price to pay. Fleury's is a borderline bust who's in need of a change of scenery, Gauthier is a good but not great prospect, and the 1st is gonna be tied in cause you'd be getting Martinez for 1.5 years.. you can't expect LA to just take your garbage and give you their diamonds. You gotta give up something good to get something good

Fleury and Gauthier are both first round picks, so that would be 3 ahahaha

Lol. Fleury has NO where near the value of a 1st round pick. Just cause he was drafted as a 1st round pick like 6 years ago, doesn't mean he has the value of one. That's not how you value players properly LMAO

Yeah that's not happening, At the very most Martinez might be worth 2 2nds forgot about Gauthier being a 1st rounder as well. Martinez is decent he's not worth 3 1st though.

Martinez has xGA through the floor and a CA that's comparable to Cody Ceci, if Fleury is a bust, WHY are they getting Martinez, who's ARUGABY WORSE?

No.... he isn't. Muzzin is actually.... good. Martinez is very not. His xGA is as bad as Cody Ceci. Go get your head checked

LOL

Guess you should be dying to trade for Michael Dal Colle then? He'll cost you Haydn Fleury + because Dal Colle went higher than Fleury 6 DRAFTS AGO. .. maybe Connor Bleackley instead? I know he went in the late 20'a but he's still a 1st rounder. Must have TONS of value.

So you might wanna check where you get your info from actually.

Dude you are gonna be disappointed if you think this is even close to a realistic return for Martinez.
