Dubas gets Reillys compliment

Created by: PuckPal

Initial Creation Date: Feb. 6, 2020

Description
The trade gives Anaheim 2 promising NHL players with upside in Dermott and Johnsson, 2 solid prospects, and a 1st for the Shutdown dman Reilly needs to take more risk pushing forward, a solid bottom 6 winger and some AHL players to help strengthen the Marlies for the Calder run. I based this on Muzzin value last year and compensated for Ceci Dump and the 1st being next year. I do believe if Anaheim are interested in trading Manson it should be this Deadline and though other teams may giveup this years 1st it wouldn't give them young nhl ready skilled players to start the rebuild like this will.

Not that I disagree the trade but to call Bracco and Duszak " two solid prospects" doesn't appear to be factual.

Leafs can not afford to trade away another first round pick.

Well Bracco is from all accounts NHL ready but can't crack the roster due to the depth, and Duszak im not following as much but from what i have read is a promising dman prospect thats why i called them solid.

If they make any trade for a top 4 dman without giving up the core it will cost a 1st. Also the core of this team is more or less locked up long term. So if they were to do this and with how Dubas is finding NHLers all the way down the draft board the leafs should be able to fill in the roster.

laugh laugh Jeremy Bracco is almost 23 years old, And has yet to sniff the NHL, Too call him a promising prospect is completely laughable. The guy can't even make it on the Leafs roster. So why would Anaheim want him? He's pretty much looking like a career AHLer to me. And once again this really doesn't meet the needs of Anaheim. Gee trade Manson acquire both Ceci and Dermott and Bob Murray does this why again? If i'm Anaheim this doesn't get you Manson let alone Ritchie added to the deal.

The guy will be 23 years old next month, He'd better be close to being NHL ready.

Bracco can't crack the leafs forwards?? 11 of the 12 starting forwards on detroit couldn't crack the leafs forwards roster. Also, Johnsson is a on the leafs top line right now how does he not help ANA. Anyways if you are going to talk through your a** at least make valid points. Also, Ritchie is a bottom 6 forward and he's worth more the whats i propose? Detroit fans should thank their lucky stars Yzerman is your gm not a person like you or they will never make back to the playoffs.

Bracco may be a player that just needs an opportunity to prove himself which will not happen in Toronto.

I agree fully. But if Anaheim truly wants to trade Manson either have to take a type Muzzin deal and not have any nhl ready prospects or something like this.

There is a reason Bracco didn't beat out Timashov and Mikheyvov to secure Leafs spot at the beginning of the season. Then the Leafs injuries to wingers this season....Marner, and Johnsson...no sign of Bracco.
He may have peaked at 23 and he couldn't crack the Leafs lineup. From what I see on the ice, he isn't NHL capable. But good luck to him.
