Yeesh that sucks, especially since like a year ago the 2 were always featured on NHL twitter like every other week. Trades is something you sign up for as an NHL wife, so hopefully it’s just initial shock and not actually her saying that

Sucks but knowing he almost went to Calgary last year I'd be happy 'bout all that.

No she's been saying this for the past 18 months when he was first in trade talks. She has a child from a previous relationship and is not willing to take the child away from the biological father. So unless they all (biological father included) buy a house in Pittsburgh the Zucker family is screwed.

She's not pissed lol. It caught her off guard. She was at a valentines event when Jason called her. He left right away without seeing her and won't see him until the offseason. She has a child with another guy, and she cant move away because of it.

Dang that’s tough, hope it doesn’t break their marriage apart or something, cuz he’s a Penguin for 3 more years after this one

Im sure it'll be fine. This probably isn't the first time a situation like this happened. During the offseason they'll have time to figure it out

**(Assuming shes' complaining and not just in shock)**

By no means do I wish this kind of stuff on anyone but I don't exactly feel that bad for them either.....

Nothing stopping Jason and his wife from retiring right now and living in Minnesota for the rest of their days, wealthy, healthy and happy.

One of the reasons hockey players are paid so handsomely is precisely because they are just assets that can be moved/traded at any time. Want guaranteed stability? Go work an office job in Minny somewhere.

You cant have your cake and eat it too. Either make millions of dollars and live with the responsibilities of that job that you agreed to or don't and never have to worry about being away from each other ever again..... without the million dollar contracts.

It's a business. I'm sure she will be here in Pittsburgh within a few days. His $5m a year is more than enough to fly her back when she needs to go back, or to fly the kid here. They aren't the first hockey family to get traded. Boo-hoo.

This is true, but the reason she isnt moving from MIN is because she has a kid from her previous marriage and due to visitation rights and her preference to let her kid meet their biological father is why she isnt moving to PIT with him as of right now. It is possible they could come up with a plan over the summer but for now i think i respect what she is doing. She is putting her kid's needs above her's which shows she is a great mother

Yeah that's great, I applaud it. But they can also choose to not to put themselves through it all also. At any minute Zucker can say "I don't want to be away from my wife and kids anymore" and straight up retire. So while I sympathize with their situation, nothing is stopping them from what getting what they want. They are choosing money and their career ahead of that, which I am not snickering at but at the same time, its coming off whiny if you are complaining about the situation to media outlets despite having no responsibility to do so.

Like I prefaced early, I'm taking this position only assuming she is being "pissed" about it as OP has stated. I don't know the actual situation at all. Might be just overblown for all I know.
