Description
Both signed through next year and struggling. Calgary seems to need some righties along with middle 6 guys. Bennett might fit better in Pittsburgh's system.

Personally I don't mind it but it seems counter productive to bring in a guy at nearly the same price as Frolik when he was moved out and producing much less. Bennett has been fine lately and especially at half the price, I think that if Bjugstad was to move in this deal salary retention is much more valuable than the pick that is in the deal above.

I just don’t get what the allure is with Bennett. I think he could potentially rebound but I don’t wanna risk over $2.5M to find that out.

See a player in a situation like McCann was (same age too). Just a very different play style from McCann that I think would benefit the roster

Fair enough, personally would retain to make them cost the same just doubt the Pens would. Tried to even the value by adding a pick and/or prospect - idea is just a baseline.
