he's a political nightmare for an original 6 team that usually prefers politics stay out of the game .
same reason no one wants ryan hartman he's an off ice issue with his legal issues almost causing him to be denied travel outside the USA"

the league does its best to ''move on '' from these issues instead of address them
If you're a bad sportsman and attack everyone around you from opponents to teammates to refs then you need you're ass suspended 1 year without pay and they're not allowed to play anywhere else

ADA’s previous character issues are a really a non issue at this point...

If his character issues are that big then nobody is going to want to move down to 10th for him. Who knows, but this year the draft falls off a bit after 8 or if askarov is in there then itll probably be 9th overall. If his character issues are a non issue then I think it gets a little tougher, because while the overall top of the draft is through 9th, the top of the top is 4th (if one of the teams is looking for Drysdale) Overall kinda bonkers, value would be very interesting to me. I think it probably works, because Deangelo looks like a stud

The dude had issues years ago. He's been a positive lockerroom presence this year and is showing he has elite offensive talent, from the right side no less. I lot of people dont like him because he's a huge Trump supporter and he plays in a liberal city like Manhattan, but management, real fans, and teammates couldn't care less if he's putting up 60+ pts a season. Seriously tho, when was the last time you heard anything about him and his "maturity issues"?

Especially since nobody seems to have a problem with Ovi even though he and Putin are close friends

Call me when Ovi says racist homophobic things to an while barratting a US player for being an American
Truth be told if Tony D played wiith Oveckin i think it wouldnt be long before Ovi would demand Tony's traded

Tony D did to Goldobin leading to him eventually being traded for left overs because there was so little demand and zero teams were willing to move a 1st for him .
if it only happened once sure but it was an ongoing problem and the league saw fit to suspend him 8 games after his 2nd time in 2014 being a loud racist POS towards his teammates. with the numbers Tony D put up in Junior as a D he shoulda been a lock for top 10 and an argument for top 5 but no teams were willing to risk he wouldnt become a problem .

you can be political without being an arse about it
Tony D still hasnt grown up and realized that and honestly i think its just the way he was raised

It is very clear that DeAngelo has a lot of off-ice problems. I donßt want to compare his attitude and stuff with Ovechkin. But it seems like for some players it is no problem when they activly support political leaders who murder their opponents, and for some other players that matters. What DeAngelo has done is not ok, but as I said before guys like Malkin or Ovechkin are never in any sorts of discussion because of their political interests.
