Is Ottawa really trying to move Duclair? I know he's struggled for the past month, but he's going to be a good part of their rebuild.

Wild wont trade Brodin or Dumba without a 1C (potential 1C) coming back

1C? If 2C then an additional asset.

Oh, well IMO Ottawa should keep him and I think they will unless they get blown away by an offer for him. He's only 24 and he's tied for most goals and points on the team right now.

Question;
So what (good, young) Dman could you get for that package???

First Toronto's 2021 first is unavailable for trade due to the Marleau condition.
But hypothetically speaking the value is decent. I think the issue is (and it's like this with a lot of leaf proposals on here) none of the pieces going out actually address the other teams needs. For example, Minnesota and Anaheim are packed full of top 9 wingers, Ducks desperately lack RD depth and Minnesota desperately lacks young top 6 center prospects. Sure a 1st is nice and all but Why would a team trade a core piece in a position of weakness for a position of strength. Its kind of like Toronto trading Jake Muzzin and a 1st for Taylor Hall. Sure Hall is good but how does that help Toronto stop pucks from going in their own net.

Basically it's not a matter of "what good, young Dman will this package get?" But "what good, young Dman is available, fits our needs and what what do we have that will benefit the other team?"
