Then they don’t get traded, no big deal.

With Minnesota in serious need of a rebuild, I'd out good money on them being moved and for less than a top line centre. Neither have proved they're worth it

2x1sts, a 2nd + an extended Haula and Edmundson for both Dumba and Brodin.

They aren’t going to enter a full rebuild while Leipold owns the team. Brodin and Dumba are more valuable to the Wild than a second line winger would be.

This is like the best offer I’ve seen ever on this site lol, I’d probably do it

Not a bad offer but my guess is we only trade one, not both. I think one of them is destined to go to Carolina though. Our beat writer wrote today that Guerin has some intriguing offers for Dumba and I'd bet one of them is by Carolina. I'll post the quote in a minute

Edit: "It will be interesting to see where Guerin goes from here because multiple sources tell The Athletic that there are teams that continue to pursue defensemen Matt Dumba and Jonas Brodin and that Guerin has been offered some potentially intriguing pieces for Dumba". Reason I'm guessing there's an offer from Carolina is that Russo has been reporting that Carolina is interested in both Brodin and Dumba for a few weeks now (and as recently as a few days ago). Wonder what the offers are...

I'm assuming they are looking more at future 1c's not current. Teams don't trade there 1c unless they are aging and rebuilding which the aging wouldn't interest the Wild. So yeah I think the Wild can get a future 1c for Brodin or Dumba.

There are some teams that are loaded at center though. Domi is one guy I could see potentially working.

Isn't Rakell more of a winger though? Honestly asking, haven't payed much attention to him the past couple years

The wild are not letting guys go for nothing. Nor will they make a reaction trade of accepting "the best offer" if it is a bad offer. Teams always run into a need. That's what got Zucker's value up. Same thing will happen with Brodin and/or Dumba. There's still time on the clock. There's no rush.

Honestly not a fan of Domi I am really hoping for a guy like dylan Strome, but i doubt its likely.

Yep, the thing people here don't get is they don't need to move either player right now. Brodin can have his contract expire with a handshake agreement to sign again after the expansion draft is over and Dumba has a few years left for Guerin to find a better deal. For the people saying there won't be, the first offer for Zucker was Calgary offering a 1st and Frolik last year, so yeah... hold out until a better offer comes along. lol

Forsberg for Erat is worse imo.

Think he plays at wing for the Ducks since they have more profilic centers in the team, but Rakell could be able to play C just as well if necessary. He's just better at wing than Getzlaf, Henrique, Steel etc.

ah yes so why not assume that it does happen rather than the more likely case of a at-value trade.

all i gotta do is shout kase for brodin and watch ducks fans blow this up

They moved Zucker already and are listening to offers on 2 of their top d-man.. pretty sure that's signalling they're getting ready for a rebuild. You don't trade your best players and expect to contend for multiple years.

Do you think 35 year old Eric Staal is gonna lead this team for the next 5-10 years? Doubtful. A rebuild is needed in Minnesota.
