Injury Bug

Created by: LicMysak
Team: 2019-20 Tampa Bay Lightning
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 11, 2020
Published: Feb. 11, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
With the potential loss of Kucherov and Cirelli along with the already injured Steven Stamkos, our forwards are starting to look a bit thin. Question is, do we make a move now, or call someone up if the injuries turn out to be short term?

The most likely call up is Cory Conacher, since he's the most NHL experience player in the system and seems to be the go to guy when we need an extra forward. This still leaves us with 11 healthy forwards assuming no one returns from injury. Who do we call up and give a chance? Do we go with a younger guy like Barre-Boulet or Colton and give their NHL debut? Or do we go with a guy that's already played in the NHL and can fill in decently as a replacement level player like a Martel or Smith? Or Does Cooper play with 11 FWDS and 7 Ds like he used to?

I wanna see BB get a look in. See what he can do. Especially playing an Oilers team without McDavid. Their depth and d core isnt the strongest.
Id look at a Martel/Smith if we were walking into a Bostonesc team.
