Jack Campbell for the Oscar win, he really played that goalie interference call in overtime. That goal should have counted. When it's playoff time we'll see at least a dozen goals scored like that count, I remember McDavid's only time in the playoffs ended on the Ducks bumping the goalie and scoring goals that counted.

Not a chance, that knee on his knee as the shots coming in is goalie interference 100% of the time. Even playoffs. If it would have happened at the other end I would be saying the exact same thing.... just less happy about.

Here's the actual play breakdown:
When Stepan moved to the front of the net, Campbell out it glove hand out to steer Stepan away so he could see the puck (a usual thing goalies do, nothing wrong with it). Stepan then moves towards Campbell, drops his shoulder, and changes direction to initiate contact with Campbell. Campbell realizes this right away and slightly embellishes the act to gain the attention of the ref before the puck goes in. When the puck does go in, Campbell immediately lets the ref know that there was contact that prevented him from proper movement in order to make the save and Campbell basically refused to leave the net until they reviewed the play (2 very smart decisions by Campbell).

That is almost as clear cut of goaltender interference as you can get. In any game. In any situation. Against any team. The right call was made. (I'm shocked it took them that long to see it). Don't need the Leafs haters trashing the right call being made.

I don’t think he embodied it much if at all. If you watch the replays he just goes down awkwardly as he is trying to butterfly.

You failed to mention that Campbell was outside his crease before HE made contact with Stepan and knocked him off balance enough by shoving him forward which caused Stepan to reposition his back skate which caused further the contact. Trust me, if that play was during a playoff game, the goal would count as called by the refs on the ice.

Lol. Even the announcers were saying it was goalie interference. The bottom line is HE PREVENTED THE GOALIE FROM MAKING THE SAVE. It's goalie interference.

A few years ago Quick was bumped OUTSIDE the crease and Marner held the puck and gave him 3-5 seconds before he shot and it was called back for interference.

Please learn something before you comment with ignorant posts.

But hey, 3-2 win still looks good. Don't like it? Oh well. You can't change anything and you'd be wrong anyways. 😂

Watch playoff hockey when men play hockey, not the boys playing hockey during the regular season, my point about this all along was this will never be called during playoff action. You are the one acting ignorant silly.

Campbell left his crease while Stepan tried to skate to the top of his circle, Campbell started all the contact, thus he prevented himself from making the save.

My original comment referred to this remember? Oilers V. Ducks
