The Devils have no talent in the RD pipeline and are not trading Severson who they believe they need to build the defense around in the short term during the rebuild for the pupu platter and to retain salary for 4 years after he is finally seeing his potential. You're on drugs.

That first sentence was polite, logical, provable, friendly, and helpful in understanding a different team's point of view. It moved the conversation forward on one team's relative valuation of the four assets in question. By all means, let's carry on with that side of the conversation,

The Hall trade isn't too bad. Arizona traded a 1st, 3rd, an okay prospect and two blahs. But... the pieces will need to be altered a bit.
Arizona's 1st will be much higher than Washington's. i doubt that they want Panik back. Gersich is not high enough prospect.

It is a good opening offer, but not quite there as others will be able to offer more.
