As nice as it would be to have Hoffman around, Armstong isn't trading our 2020 1st for a rental.

Florida isn't moving Hoffman unless it's for a d-man in return. That just weakens their top 6 too much

If Florida makes the Brodin trade without moving Hoffman in the same deal, they'll keep Hoffman and move someone else for cap if they have to. He won't be moved for a pick straight up

Our farm system is a lot thinner after the graduations of Thomas, Kyrou, etc. so we almost certainly are not trading the 2020 1st and definitely not for a rental.

They're in a cup window to win now again. A 1st rounder is definitely on the table for any kind of upgrade

Except it's definitely not on the table for any upgrade - it would take something special to get that away from Army. And our Cup window does not close for a while. And we can win again now with what we already have.
