This is my version of the ACGM posted by user oilsince95

I swapped Chaisson for Gagne, just for a bit of cap relief so that EDM can re-sign Tierney next year

I removed the condition for the 1st round pick because I know Holland doesnt want to move a 1st in his first year as GM.

I added a pick to each side that would result in an upgrade if EDM makes WCF. We give you a 4th (94-97OA) in this deeper draft year, and you give us a 3rd next year (appr 80-85OA) which might upgrade to a 2nd if you go deep

Chiasson is a warm body that OTT can throw on the roster next year, insulate the young players a bit

We do need veterans and guys with experience to shelter the young guys next year. As much as I want to see the kids play in Ottawa, I'd rather not ruin their development by feeding them to the wolves. Chiasson fits that bill on the 3rd-4th line that can move up to the 2nd line if need be.

We wouldnt be trading for him, its just something to grease the trade through.

Were very likely trading away Ennis and Namestnikov. We wont be resigning Boedker. Thats at least 3 wingers down.

Chiasson can fill a slot and we can hopefully pump and dump him at next years deadline

i like it, it works for both sides, EDM get a reliable RFA 3C and a a good 2-3rd liner (ennis) that is hot this year and is a UFA if they don't want him back
