No interest at all from the Wild with those pieces other than the picks.

I don't want to lose Foligno and sheary doesn't impress me, but the offer is probably to good to pass up. Since 3 of the players in the deal have expiring contracts. It essentially boils down to Foligno and a 6 for a 2nd and a 4th.

That’s a solid offer for the jets but I’m not convinced miller is really all that better than poolman. In fact poolman is very good defensively

I think they can get a 2nd or a 3rd for Galchenyuk if they decide to flip him right now and I also think a 2nd and a 4th is what Foligno is worth so this deal is a big no for me.

If Pit could have gotten a 2nd or 3rd for Chucky he would have been traded awhile ago instead of their 4th line.

They couldn’t afford to trade him once Guentzel got hurt - they needed a roster-ready replacement. He has some value and anything the Wild get for him is gravy. It’s also why they are auditioning him in a top 6 role, IMO.

I usually have people crying if I try to get a 3rd for Foligno on ACGM. So i think a 2 and a 4 is great value for him. I think a 2nd or 3rd is a bit optimistic for Galchenyuk, but if the Wild find the right trade partner especially if the Wild retain salary to slip him under a teams cap.

After Guentzel went down Chucky had the next game with big minutes; that's it. The other 14 games he averaged 8:36 ToI. If Pit could have gotten a 2nd or 3rd and dumped his $4.9m cap hit they would have taken it in a second. They need cap space more than an expensive 4th liner.

You’ve convinced me I have him overvalued. He’s a meaningless part of the deal anyways. and anything the Wild get for or from him is gravy.

Sadly this is the first and only time I'll agree with Wabit. Despite Guerin publicly saying otherwise, Galchenyuk was a throw in to reduce salary for the Pens. If he somehow gets on a streak over the next 5 games before the deadline, a team might offer a 4th round pick but he'd really need to show that what happened in Pittsburgh was a fluke and he's more like he was in Montreal earlier in his career.

I like that trade for the Jets.
Does Girgensons play center?

He’s versatile enough to play 4th line center, he’s best at LW though and he’s also one of the fastest skaters on the team. He’s more of a toss in but...I think he’s worth a look for a good team looking for bottom 6 help,
