I could see the Rangers doing that if they believe in Tolvanen as a top prospect. A year and a half ago Tolvanen wouldn't even have been on the table.

I don't want to trade him - but if they are in buy-mode, this is likely the price to acquire a player like Kreider. I would be completely happy keeping Tolvanen (I still think he can be a good top 6 producer), but just showing what a buy scenario may look like.
