Why would Leafs trade kerfoot for martinez? (which essentially this trade is) Leafs have no interest in Martinez and it was said by Dubas and guys in Sportsnet. They go after younger players. Also they keep Kerfoot and rather move kappy or johnsson

More silly fascination about a non playoff teams mid to bottom end players that are so much better than the Leafs. And Kerfoot is needed this year and for the future.

Kerfoot is more valuable to the Leafs on the team than as a trade piece. We are cap strapped team and for under 4 million having a guy who can play 3 C and top 6 winger is very valuable.

Finding a good 3C under 4 million not on an ELC is very difficult

Dudes got about 30 games combined AHL and NHL playing centre. If he's still doing it this time next year as a good 3c I'm in agreement.
