That was my feeling, but I've seen some silly posts in the past couple of days. I started wondering whether I had Demelo pegged wrong, like I did Nick Jensen.

He's a really, really good stabilizing RHD. I think his current value is around that 2nd+3rd but that's not nearly close to his true value in a team, especially at that current cap hit.

He's so underrated. Most Ottawa fans wanna keep him more than anyone, even Pageau. I'll be pretty frustrated if Demelo gets dealt.

DeMelo is worth a 2nd round pick in either 2020 or 2021 to a team going for a playoff push.

Hes a RHD, capable of playing big minutes. He is a Defensive first D, an analytics darling who is very good at suppressing scoring chances against. He also only costs 800k. Theres a reason so many teams want him.

The ducks arent pushing for a cup, so cap hit isnt a selling point, but we dont want Shore and the picks are useless. 4th and 5th, one of them not even coming this year. Pass.

He's probably the most slept on player in the league.

By the way, the reason I keep suggesting Devin Shore in both team posts and comments on others' is that I think he's surplus to Rakell, Comtois, Jones, Ritchie, Des Lauriers and Tracey; it's not like I think he's a bad player. I think the backlog has prevented him from getting sufficient playing time with the Ducks.
