Both moves are WAY too much in NYR's favor.

Why would either team make those trades? PIT has 2 good goalies. COL has Grubauer. No way COL gives up Byram with an equally great piece.

The more I look at that COL trade the more I'm blown away. NYR getting away with robbery.

Colorado trade can see... but Pitt is moving two unwanted cap hits... creating space. Hank is there for two runs with Sid n Geno. At just 5 mil per they can keep DeSmith or Jarry to play with Hank. Fast would be major upgrade over Bjustad for Pens.
Just a hunch... Andersson would turn around in Pitt.

Colorado trade was about getting a goalie moving forward in Murray. Strome is a rental but Kadri is out 2 months. Skjei does step into top 4 on left side for Avs and at 5 mil is cost certain. What will Zadorov cost to sign... ( I'm not sure on value to Avs vs. new team)
Can easily see Byram being big issue... so I understand.
Probably just drop both defensemen maybe add another prospect.... Avs seem to have a shelf full.

Just what the penguins don't need. A 5.5 million 38 year old backup.

I dont believe Colorado is hanging their hat on Grubauer.
Would think they would jump at a cup winning goalie still in his 20's . I dont see extended playoff success with current goalies in Colorado.

LMAO why on earth would the pens trade a 2 time cup champ goalie in his twenties, a decent 3rd line center, AND two picks for a prospect that is a bust, a huge cap dump in a goalie, and a bottom 6 rental forward?? Especially to a team within our own division. May as well send you Guentzel and Crosby for Marc Staal and Brendan Smith while we are at it

One big problem with the penguins trade: hank isn’t good anymore. Sorry, he just isn’t.

The Colorado trade....yikes man.

Really cant imagine Hank playing elsewhere, but he might concede to trade for chance to play for Pitt. IF he returns to form would have great chance with Pens to get the Cup. He would already be familiar with Coach Sullivan too. Cant think of many teams that want him, that he would play for at this point. ( not saying pitt would even want him, more of an appeasing Lundquist approach and hopefully chance at cup)
Personally, I think he would excell in Pittsburgh, another chance for this 7th round pick to people wrong all over again. Atleast hes rested. Ha
