You might want to give WPG the option to hand over their pick this year because, if they miss the playoffs, they could still be drafting 14 or 15. In that case, they might prefer to give away a "good" first-rounder and remove the risk of giving away a higher lottery pick next year.

I can see this only happening in the off-season...the Jets will want to evaluate everything first before doing a major trade like that...It makes sense and its fair imo though...

I would understand Bergevin trading Domi because he doesnt want to play winger or is simply not as good. But Bergevin would want to make the playoffs next year, so even if it's a great proposal IMO (or to NYI for Bellows +1st and 2nd), Bergevin might want assets that help his team right now. Dunno what would it be right now

Horrible deal for the Jets. 1st thats probably going to be 11th-14th, a second, Vesalainen who has top 6 potential and Perreault, a good play driving 3rd liner for Maxi Domi, perenial 40-50, 15 goal guy. Hes back on pace this year for his average after having one elite season last year. Add Romanov and the Jets consider it.
