The Leafs have bigger issues than just fixing their D. If only 2/5th of your team is back-checking, you are going to get plenty of shots against, and scored on a ton. That's a huge problem in Toronto and has really never been addressed since this rebuild started. Sure, there are individual forwards that do skate back hard, and back-check consistently, but as a team, that's clearly an issue. There are trades the Leafs could make that shouldn't cost them a ton where they could fix some of this, and especially on the PK. I am looking directly at Colton Scissons here.

And no way Robertson gets called up to NHL this season.

In the past 3 years I can name 3-4 bad moves that are without question bad moves. I can name ~15 moves that are without question good moves.

Agreed, they need 2 more Zack Hymans, so yes a Colton scissons or imo better yet Jarnkrok there is also an obvious disconnect between the D and F which is to be expected while learning a new system on the fly, the 3 kids up front Matthews Marner and Nylander could probably be a little less careless with the puck in the neutral zone or at the very least not every goal has to be ridiculously pretty or all fancy

The proposal above is quite laughable from a Hawks pov lol. Any move involving a Dman with term at this point is likely to happen in the offseason unless someone is willing to really overpay, which makes no sense for TO to do at the deadline as that player doesn't fix any defensive woes instantly
