Description

Moves I would be looking to make at the deadline.

I think we should target Domi with our 1st. We need to send salary back and could possibly add another prospect not named Gauthier, Suzuki, Bean or Bokk.

Picking up DeMelo could allow us to pair Pesce and Slavin and pair a good defensive D-man with Gardiner.

Colorado needs a center heading into the playoffs and they have a glut of LD. Zadorov would add a tough presence to the D to replace Edmunson.

Winnipeg needs D and Edmunson is from the area (I think.) Seems like a match made in heaven.

As you will need a depth D, the Jets will send a 3rd and one of Beaulieu or Kulikov(2M retained) instead of the 2nd

The Jets have a glut of D now that they are back from injury

1. That's a decent amount to give up for domi, which I don't have an issue with. Main issue is that Domie needs a new contract which will be expensive and with Hamilton and Svech needing contracts soon, it probably isn't the best idea to do that
2. Haula and Janne is personally way too much for Zadorov. We have defensman in the AHL that would be better suited to come up so we don't lose a good prospect and a solid 2-3rd line center
3. Other trades are fine

Pass on the Avs

Haula would be a great add but they need Zads in the playoff more than they need Haula
They wont touch their D core going into the playoffs, offseason is a different story

This is actually really fair, and fitting for where each team is in their development cycle.

McKeown looks like he will basically be who DeMelo is now, in 2-3 years.

3rd is the price to incubate him a bit.

I like it, and it doesnt rob the CAR D cupboard bare.

We would leave out the 4th in that case, but sure... we'll take Kulikov.

We would have to send salary back i.e. Dzingel. He would be a good fit on MTL who is a speedy team and replace Domi's spot on LW at a fair price. We only need one center. Cousins and Thompson don't fit in our line up. We need to keep our youth, especially if we are giving away a 1st and 2nd.

That's like us saying if you want Teravainen give a 1st, 2nd and two of Kotkaniemi, Norlinder, Primeau, Caufield, Romanov, and we will throw in Martinook and Wallmark.
