ORLOV Is our best overall defenseman right now. Why are you trading him for rental guys? Tatar 1for 1 couldn’t get you Orlov. Bad trade IMO

Tatar and Petry are both under contract for next year and the Caps have no Top 4 RHD other than Carlson. It's not a "rental" trade. Orlov is great but you have to give to get and the Caps are deep at LHD in terms of higher end prospects (Fehervary, Alexeyev, Johansen, Djoos) I thought the proposal somewhat favored MTL
