yeah Petry isnt worth that much. Super prospect in Newhook and great prospect in Kaut. Thats too much.

Plus they can play center and you said you'd trade Domi because Suzuki is doing great at center...

Suzuki, Danault, Domi, Kotkaniemi. One gotta go because one isn't gonna play fourth-line minutes in the near future. Looking like Domi will be the odd man out.

Montreal would have to add quite a bit to both those trades

Domi is better off as a winger. Besides I wouldn't put all the money on Suzuki. 1 Good season doesn't define the entire future . Having Dumba won't automatically put them at the top as one of the consistent contending team.

no, but the influx and growth of KK, Suzuki, Romanov, Norlinder, Caufield, Poehling and Evans will make them a contender

Domi was plain bad playing LW this year. He really blew up at center last year (ARI was playing him LW too).

It should be his future role in MTL but he plays like **** I'd trade him for a team needing him as a center

If you bank on the young guns, then getting Dumba is "counterproductive" because you want immediate help. It's better to follow the "model of Joe Sakic or Kevin Cheveldayoff" by being patient instead of being desperate at making the playoffs.

He's still on pace for around 50 pts season which was the original expectation for Domi coming to Montreal. That 70+pts season was an unexpected surprise, which unfortunately elevated the expectation on Domi. It's also not ideal to trade a player only because he's having "one bad year"

Minnesota has Dumbas value very high. Domi doesnt get it done for them. Im a big fan of Domi hes a good player but if any team wants a young RH offensive defenceman with term they are going to pay big time for it. Domi a 1st round pick and a good prospect might move the needle. Again its not what u or i have him valued at its what Minnesota has him valued at.
