Do not think Canucks can afford Barrie going forward as have some big contracts to sign with Petterson and Hughes in near future.

I mean, Barrie kinda has been playing to what he's worth, he isn't worth $8 million now, we know that. If Tyson Barrie can take a hometown discount, then chances are they could go far in the future with him on board. Who knows? Maybe Toronto ruined him enough to the point where he could be declining early.

I really like Stecher and do not see why you are trading him away.

It's simple. Stecher isn't really happy here in Vancouver, especially with the way things have been in the last little bit. I mean he has improved a bit this year, but he's not a top-pairing defenseman in my eyes.

Think you are right that he is not a top pairing defenceman but think he is a really good 5 or 6 defenceman and team player on improving Canucks team.
