Canucks have absolutely no interest in Kovy so trade never happens.

I don’t think CAR will be trading Fleury, but the 1st is def in play.

Remove Ratcliffe and the 3rd. Don’t see Philly moving him.

Pretty descent ideas IMO. 👍 For originality at least.

CAR needs to add because of the salary retention. Fleury development is stagnating and he doesn't have the value he used to.

Those conditional 1st round picks in the PHI trade are just silly 😂

Fleury last year was struggling hard but this year is doing just as well as his brother if not better.
i wouldnt say stagnant but maybe lacking consistency .

i say on his current trajectory its fair to say in his prime that he'll be a reliable #5 D and likely 2nd PK unit guy but thats it.
it still has value its just not the top 4 value everyone figures a top 10 pick will achieve .

i think he's got value its just not at a top 10 picks ecpected return .
i'd call him a B+ prospect/player

Injury forcing playing time and he’s playing well. Zero reason to trade fleury now unless someone is going to overpay.

I see you switched it to Geekie. I really don’t think the Canes will trade any signed prospect. My guess is an unsigned prospect plus a 1st would be the highest price they’d pay for the right player. Petry and Brodin are the targets.

If that doesn’t get it done, they likely just go a cheaper route or just not make a trade.

I really don’t think we have many trash prospects, but it depends on what you are looking for. I do think Petry would be a great fit this year, but unless he can play the left side too, he will be passed by Dougie and Pesce next year.

I’d say maybe our 1st (conditional on playoffs) or the TOR 1st which is already conditional + a prospect like Luke Henman who is playing well in the Q right now.

then sell him as a UFA , given MTL retained it should make it easier
get your 1st back plus more if you add value to Petry .

that's a problem for another day
question is are playoffs this year at all a priority?
your GM says yes being the first to openly declare his 1st up for grabs

honestly i gotta stop taking you seriously as the more concessions i make the more you push
i give an inch , you take a mile
if we cannot find middle ground there's no point in entertaining further debate until we're both willing to put in the effort to be reasonable .

Well, I’m not really negotiating here, rather just telling you the way the Canes will negotiate. They won’t be playing nice with Bergevin.

I really do believe that they will throw the 1st out there and if that (or maybe a little bit more) isn’t enough for a quality dman with term they will gladly take both 1st into the draft.

Maybe the Habs and Canes aren’t a great fit if the asking price for Petry is too much.
