Perunovich alone would be overpayment.

The trade was straight up brought from HF boards blues fans. Dillons value is a second and a prospect as stated by all insiders.

Maybe the blues would consider trading for Edmundson to come back for a draft pick that the Canes could use to package for a forward?

It does matter what kind of prospect.. Perunovich and Jake Walman are both prospects and are in completely different universes when it comes to value. Sharks would probably get 2nd for Dillon at TDL.

They definitely could. Dillon would be much better for a replacement but obvs he costs alot more with all the interest for him

Maybe if the second is like 32-35 they would take it straight up, but the blues pick is bound to be very late and we would be stupid to take a worse deal than we can.

I don't think the Blues need to make a move tbh. Dunn deserves more minutes than he gets, Petro and Parayko are both capable of 25 per night. And Mikkola has been solid on the 3rd pair if he needs to draw in.

If it is 32-35, Dillon should come with extension. Dillon for STL 2nd and like Jake Walman would make sense.

I did some research into Perunovich the other day and he really is one of the better d prospects our there and arguably the Blues best overall prospect. His NHLe is over 40 and his impact on his teams goal share at 5v5 is huge as well. I’d way rather trade like a 4th round pick for someone like Scandella

He is one of the top D prospects out there, but there hasn't been any room for him with the Blues. He was only player taken in that draft where the Blues had his name on a jersey before the draft even started. They liked him that much so they wont trade him.

Mikkola has been really good. The problem with Dunn though is that when he does get moved up with a guy like Petro or Parayko is that he has to stand back more because those guys carry the puck very well and he's not as reliable back there. This is why he is always paired with a guy like Bortuzzo because Borts can play back and Dunn can do his thing. It's like a lesser version of E. Karlsson and Methot in Ottawa

If (big if) they can sign him he might be able to nab a spot next year especially if Pietrangelo leaves. I quite like the thought of Dunn/Mikkola/Perunovich on the left side of the D for awhile

They can sign him easily. The most he'll cost is 925k which is doable. He wanted to sign this past offseason but there wasnt a spot. Now there will be.

Actually he wanted to go back for his junior season, I don’t think he’ll go the Adam Fox route, but you never know

I read an article that was different. It may have been Corey Pronman that mentioned Perunovich wanted to sign last year following his second consecutive title

I could be wrong, but I think he wanted to go for the three-peat. Either way, I still think he’ll sign
