As a Wings fan I'd pass on this on this trade. They need defensemen a lot more than they need wingers. Bowey isn't great but he keeps getting better and he has even put up some points. If he keeps improving he could be a solid 3rd pair defenseman putting up 20+ points a season. Detroit has 4 defensemen that are 30 or older on contracts expiring at the end of the season and honestly I hope Detroit doesn't resign any of them. If Detroit trades Bowey they almost have to resign one of them and it could likely end up being Ericsson or Beiga since I do think Daley and Green get moved at the deadline. Ericsson should've been bought out or buried 2 or 3 seasons. Beiga just looks lost most of the time like a player that can no longer keep up with the pace of the game. If Toronto didn't have injury problems I don't think Timashov would've been called up at all. He is undersized and doesn't have the skating to keep up in The NHL. The thing that gives me the most concern about Bracco is he hasn't been called up once with all the injuries Toronto has had. When you look at the points he has been putting up in The AHL you have to say why hasn't he been called up yet. Like Timashov he is undersized and his skating is just ok. He doesn't like and avoids the dirty areas and it's also the reason he isn't very good defensively.
