His faceoff percentage is 31 percent I wouldn't put him at center

Look win now has ALWAYS been my mantra .. a 2RD is coming next for Tampas #1 .. Arms race with Boston has begun .. brings defensive ability and position versatility.. weren't going to win with Tyler Johnson .. this is huge statement against Tiny Tyler.. FINALLY

Woo-f*cking-hoo.

Honestly if TB doesn't win the cup this or the next year BriseBois should be sacked, then put into that sack and then thrown into the Atlantic.

Tampa is/was going to be blown up if no Cup this year.. JBB on thin ice after giving 60M to Johnson and Gourde .

I think this is a massive over payment by Tampa and they better hope they win the cup this year.

OMG don't bash every single time Tyler "tiny" Johnson, he is trying his best. It's not his fault that he is small.
He actually occasionally throws a hit or 2 and lately he bought into the system and comes back and tries to defend.
I know his success rate is not that good in the D-zone, but at least he tries his best to help the team.
At least he helps in goal scoring which is something like Stephens doesn't do(yet). You need a balance and Tyler Johnson + Coleman = balanced attack + defense if they will play together( i don't know where we will play Coleman) I hope 2nd line... but i'm afraid only 3rd line... So Maroon-Paquette-Coleman maybe? idk maybe most lines needs a shuffle... Cooper will figure it out... we are in playoffs 100% chance, so we can experiment for chemistry all games...

Let's do this!!!
Less than 8 weeks and playoffs... we are top 5 favorites again, we just need a little bit of luck for avoiding the hardest matchups:
Washington Capitals Philadelphia Flyers Pittsburgh Penguins St. Louis Blues. If we avoid at least 2 of those 4 we should be in for a deep run!

I can see one really bad scenario:
1st round: Philadelphia Flyers (pres trophy -->1st seed vs 8th seed)
2nd round: Boston Bruins (=they beat toronto)
Conf-Finals: Washington Capitals ( all around powerhouse with superstars on every position)
Finals: St. Louis Blues (hardest working & hitting team and cup winners + best defense)

In this case we probably don't win... but most other scenarios are way better than this. Like if we finish 2nd east behind Boston, we can play Toronto 1st round, which is not exactly a hard matchup for us based on past years... If you see St. louis in June in the finals vs us. Don't bet on us... we won't be the favorites... but all other teams, you should be hopeful smile

This year's dark horse = Philadelphia we need to avoid them... they are really solid... but on all levels they are worse than the capitals... we should beat them , but probably there will be consequences on the long run( like injuries/fatigue). They play hard... I hope we don't win the Pres Trophy so we can avoid them...
If we finish 2nd behind Boston we always play 95% Toronto Maple Leafs
If we lose vs Toronto, we deserve our fate... i watched them like 10+ times this year... they are super inconsistent and leaks everywhere...
They have just lost to Buffalo like 5-2... so yeah... that would be a good 1st round for us...

Actually agree with you on Philly early being tougher matchup than all else .. and Bruins and Caps late of course will be wars.. St. Louis isn't going to repeat.. lucky goalie last year .. look for them to fall by 2nd round and East team to take out whoever is West finals team which I think will be Vegas

Seriusly all west teams are same, i can't differentiate them: Dallas - slow(we 0-2 vs them this year but they far from unbeatable), Vegas - fast, Vanc - riding the JT miller early hype + hot goalie
Colorado has incosistent matches, like lose vs LA in stadium series... and injury prone... not that good goalie...Grubauer = bad season kinda...
Nashville might not even make it...

St. Louis i think the best team there - with Tarasenko they will pretty good, i'm not sure where that guy returns... they might lose before he returns... they are in a slump and yes no hot goalie for them right now, they lose a lot... maybe the grinding is too much for them for a full year... i really don't want St. Louis in the finals...
Oh god... that's a nightmare, even if we somehow win.
I take Vegas any day... Marchessault is their best player kinda, who we didn't need... alright maybe after Stone trade, it's mark Stone... but still he is more like a Cirelli 2.0 more refined version(bigger+ scores more). I mean Cirelli is my fav player so Mark Stone is a good one, but when Kucherov scores from nothing 2 goals, it's better than him smile See MVP title+hart etc...last year wink
Fleury also seems like declining... really inconsistent, so even with your "shrimps" we should still need to go deep or byeerino Cooperoni...
I hope Brisebois telling him in these days: "you better win in the playoffs couple series with the added gritty player Coleman or you can search a new team next summer."

Stamkos + Johnson + whole team defending, that's a really good sign, just need to keep away those bad injuries, like last year's Hedman... They didn't defend at all next year. They just forgot to come back to D-zone after a good scoring chance missed... This new system u have to agree, Cooper did a good job last 3 months. December it was still shaky... but better then early season... but Jan+Feb is hands down our month both... Top1 team in the NHL right now on the power rankings... I hope we don't win the president's trophy... i don't wanna face possible NYI/Philly matchup 1st round... The NHL should do 1 vs 16 playoffs format, so that trophy means something.... currently it's more often than not, the grinder teams make it around those places like 7th-8th in the conference way too often... i mean for upset it's good... but we don't want upsets every year smile rolling eyes
I will be scared if Philadelphia Flyers is 1st round opponent.... but maybe they will be good prepration for us for rest of playoffs... i would rather take an easy toronto series though.... or florida if they don't collapse... but to me florida looks like complete done... like arizona...
alright until next trade! let's hope we do something else on the RH-Defense frontcool
