Sens have guys who could fill the ranks next year, plus a few guys who could use another year. Pinto, Bernard-Docker and Novak could all come out of College, Thomson and Alsing will come over from Europe, Gruden could come over from London and Formenton and Norris probably start the year in Belleville. Plus I suspect Ottawa will add some College Free agents.

Plus you can always find those guys in free agency. Sens got Jordan Szwarz for free last Summer and now he's the Captain in Belleville.

Just saying there will be a lot of turnover with all your ufa’s at the nhl level. Marody is a top line AHL player when healthy, and definitely ready for bottom 6 nhl time. And is still under team control and not close to being a UFA like a guy like Szwarz was.

Just a question of what you think Ennis will fetch you and if you only want to stockpile picks or also some younger players who can help next year in some way.

I would put more faith in a mid round pick than a mid 20s tweener. Marody may well end up an NHL player, but I'd rather have a 2nd/3rd.
