Why would you play Hájek and staal over Lindgren. Also chytil has proven he deserves second line time

Florida trade is good, San Jose trade is good value, but Gorton won’t do it. Anaheim trade is no good for us imo, Tony D + Buch>Rakell. Stromer trade may be overvaluing him. Keep in mind that Dallas gave up a 2nd and 3rd for Zucc, who is arguably better than Strome.

Even without going into the trades themselves most of the top guys we get in the trades will need big raises in a couple years and they’ll be pushing 30 so doesn’t really make sense

yeah the Strome trade is whatever, just trade him for the max that you can get, if its a 2nd rounder so be it. Rakell is 26 and has a couple of 30 goal seasons plus the Rangers are going to have a ton of cap space once Staal, Smith and Lundqvist contracts expire

I see where you’re coming from on the Rakell trade, but just look at Tony D. He’s like 5th in scoring for defensemen and is absolutely elite offensively. Then there’s Buchnievich whose advanced stats indicate that he’s actually been a really solid top 6 forward for the Rangers this whole year, despite his struggles with finishing on scoring chances early on.

No and that Rakell deal is disgustingly bad for ANA. We aren't buying high on DeAngelo to watch him come crashing down to earth next season. EZ pass!

I would say no they aren't if they are going to compete next season they need Georgiev. They have good but young defensemen and Shesterkin has only played 7 games this season and he is currently injured. While Lundqvist is a HOF goalie but he doesn't have enough left to carry them if something happens Shesterkin or if he can't handle the amount of games a starting goalie is expected to play. With the trades the only one that goes through for sure is the Detroit trade and as a Wings fan I can say neither player in that trade will make a noticeable impact on their new team. But its a pretty good trade anyway Detroit gets a young defenseman who wouldn't see much NHL action because of the players in front him and NYR gets a young winger who wouldn't get much of a chance because off the players in front of him.

Overpay for Rakell.

Don't know Svechnikov well enough, but hesitant to trade Yegor before he even gets a shot at the big club.

Smith for Artie is a wash...don't really like or dislike it.

Overpay on re-signing Lemieux. He gets 1.5-1.75 at best.

I think JG Pageau is overrated. Would rather move Chytil to center on the 3rd and sign a ~3-4mil winger like Nichushkin instead.

Letting Kreider walk in FA instead of trading him?

Finally, I don't think K'Andre plays in the NHL next season either. He spends a year in Hartford.
