Hmm... your Vegas deal interests me. Getting rid of Eakin and Holden is an interesting proposition but that is too many picks for one guy and a player we wouldn't likely use. I would like to deal with Chicago so how about this:

VGK Receives:
Erik Gustafson

CHI Receives:
Paul Stastny
NJD 2020 3rd
PIT 2020 2nd

Kampf could get more, but I'd just prefer to keep him. He's solid. I also don't want that MTL trade at all. I want to keep Beaudin 1st of all, but also...while Smith has a higher than preferred cap hit...he's a huge reason why their PK has bounced back from an almost historic bad to 6th in the league.

If you want to shed cap...see what Maatta can get considering Greene got a 2nd and a prospect.

I haven’t looked at Paul Stastnys stat line this year, but I assume he is a cap dump considering you are giving him up amidst the playoff push.

If that is the case then it’s a terrible deal for Chicago.
We don’t need another older player with term, and Gus is worth at least a 2nd and 3rd by himself.

Wouldn't want Stastny, 2 years at that price makes no sense for Chicago... Would take way more than that to take on that contract, Toronto gave up a first just to buy out one year at 6.5 so to take on 2 years at 6.5 would cost at least 2 firsts and then you have to pay for Gustafson...

Yes Kampf is solid, and loved, even by me, but is his value to the team greater than Carpenter? If so then move Carpenter as we don't need two 4th line centers...

I have a feeling Beaudoin is going to be a great D-man however how long till there is an opening in the roster for him? He is sitting about #8 or 9 at the moment... So move him and Smith together out of Conference, gives him a better shot at making the big game... And moving Smith to a team that can afford him and can use him just as much, while opening up a roster spot and cap in Chi...

Matta may be moveable but I doubt it at his cap hit... Buy out is more probable... See pt 2

I agree that's a terrible deal for Chi, I used some LTIR cap space for this season to take on cap hits that will be UFA this year.
