I like the trade but the Cats are going to want a LHD for Trocheck.

Interesting. How come? Getting out of Faulk's awful contract for a top 6 forward seems like a good idea. Brendon Dillon would be a fine LHD complement to Petro for the playoffs.

Yeah I was thinking of doing Mikkola instead of Kyrou, but I doubt that's enough. Maybe Perunovich + Gunnarsson.

Buying low at the TDL never happens. Seller holds all the cards.

For starters and most of all, I'm not willing to toss out huge chunks of our future as if our Cup window is about to close (it's not), especially at a time when we need to build our prospect base back up. Secondly, I think a lot of people are quite overwrought in their criticism of Faulk. Not only did he come to a new system with new teammates after nine years with one team, but Chief keeps switching his partners. He had a rough patch early after arriving, then was pretty fantastic for a couple months when paired with Petro and of course has had a few rough nights recently... but then much of our team has, too, including some of our star guys. Even now, he makes a lot more plays than given credit for. Plus, much of his value when trading for him derived from having over 100 career PP points, but we don;t ever bother to use him there. We probably should do that sometimes (which obviously is easier to do when we're not falling behind early in games, like we have been of late).
