That’s embarrassing, Tallon will never take you seriously if that all you’re willing to offer. Starts with Nurse and going to have to add to it

Why do people think the Oilers are going to move Nurse when heading into a playoff run? Plus signing him 2 year deal just lowered his value to other teams. Marody would need to be switched to Samorukov to bump the value up a bit which makes it 2 B prospects, a first and potential 2nd first for 2 UFA winger sounds like plenty to me

Why would the panthers give up two 60 point wingers for next years first a b prospect and a third liner when they’re going for the playoffs. Doesn’t make sense huh

When an ACGM is trading with FLA they are assuming they falling out of the race 3-6-1 in last ten isn't looking good to pass up TOR with their new backup winning some games.

Florida is a playoff contender and needs defensive help. You could trade one of Nurse or Larsson++ to get Hoffman

Maybe because Tallon said publicly that he would only move Hoffman for a top pair defensive. This mock wants both Hoffman and Dadanov....no chance Cats accept the offer

And the Oilers have 92% playoff odds why are they trading one of 2 gritty playoff style Dmen for a PP specialist who looks more like a pylon then a hockey player on most nights

Why would Florida trade 2 top 6 wingers heading into a playoff run?

If there is a trade to be made, I could see Nurse for Hoffman with a reasonable extension

Why would Florida give away 2 top 6 forwards for anything less than Nurse?

When trading you gotta give up something to get something. What are the oilers really giving up here? They avoid losing the 1st in the more talented draft, they give up pool party who has the skill but there’s still no knowing what he can do in this league. And the oilers get back not one but two top 6 wingers? It doesn’t matter where the panthers are when it comes to buyers or sellers. They could sell each of those pieces off individually and get a better return than given by the OP

Another view might be that they are both top-six forwards, both 30-years-old, and both UFAs this summer.... clearly not the kind of player that Holland says he's looking for, nor the kind that he could hope to sign to an extension. I'd add that those kinds of players tend to get a lot of focus in the rumor mill, but so far Hall is the only big name pending UFA to be moved this season. It seems that GMs may no longer be willing to sell the farm in order to acquire a player like Krieder, so its quite possible the return for Dadonov and Hoffman might not be quite what any of us may have expected. I agree with you about dealing them separately though, that would surely net a greater return than packaging them together.

Yeah Coleman and Greene set the precedence on this tdl. So it’s gonna cost teams at least a first and a decent prospect plus for most players

I think the rental market for forwards haven’t changed much, definitely any player with term left the price has been set and the rental market for dmen too. The devils just did all sellers a favor. And the lightning may have handcuffed all buyers
