Description

Team tried to trade Bogo but couldnt find a landing spot with his cap hit. They need to push for the playoffs and hes the 8th dman. Team and Bogo decide to waive>suspend>terminate contract so he can find a spot for the cutoff to be playoff eligible ~1mill. Bogo at 1mill is a good 6-7. He's unmanageable at 5.2, so it's a good deal for both sides. Also remember Bogo has made ~50mill playing, so betting on himself to get a deal somewhere is a decent bet when he's *only* losing ~1.3 from the current deal

Right, just adding on? Or are you referring to the 1.3 I was talking about? Im assuming hes already been paid for the first 59 right? So he only loses out on the paychecks for the remaining games - I think

Columbus would like to offer Dubinsky for Bogo. That’s really the only way anyone could afford to trade for him.

Right. That's why they're going to terminate the contract and he'll be able to sign a new deal somewhere for cheap. Win/win.. if it was all in good faith

I’d hope Columbus takes a flyer on him if he’s under a mil for the rest of the season... we’ve been decimated with injuries and he could fill a hole until Jones and/or Murray are healthy... the problem is he wouldn’t play much when they become healthy.
