Wild do it in a heartbeat but why would MTL want to devote over $14 million to goalies

Give Primeau another year in the AHL before being a back up being Price and we need to pay our players after the 2020-2021 season so Dubnyk contract expires at the perfect time

I would bet Montreal would not be on Dubnyk’s list since they almost killed his career

Retain 1.5 Mil of Dubnyk's salary and I would do it.

I disagree. The Wild doesn’t have cap issues and I’m not sold on Domi...plus, I think they can get more than this for Dumba.

I'm warming up to the idea of moving one of our D for Domi... but he is a concern with the season he's had. I'd rather we go after someone like Necas but I really don't see Carolina moving him.

Also, Kaprizov will be on a 2 year ELC and can't make more than the maximum $925k ELC contract amount.

I need to hear the Canes’ brass say they won’t move Necas, not the fans...even then I wouldn’t completely believe it. They have incredible talent and depth at forward in their cupboards, so I don’t buy that he’s untouchable.

Russo has said something to that effect, I'll quote it hang on

Edit: From his gamer last week: "Carolina has long wanted Brodin and has shown some interest in Dumba since Dougie Hamilton was hurt, but it would seem highly unlikely they’d part with prospect center Martin Necas"

Could be GM speak. We've all heard the "I'm not shopping PK Subban" bit. I think it makes a lot of sense for both sides, but that's just me. Like you said, Carolina is bursting with young forward talent (Aho, Svechnikov, Teravainen, Suzuki, and Necas).

And their prospect list of high-end talent goes on and on and on...

For me to consider this, I would need your unprotected 2020 1st and I’ll throw in our 2020 2nd.

No offense, but with a name like "MaxDomi13", I'm not sure you can fairly judge a Domi trade without coming off as biased...

Interesting tidbit I just read from this article... "Ideally GM Don Waddell would like to add a defenseman with term, as in Jonas Brodin or Matt Dumba but the asking price for either Minnesota defender is high." Using this along with the fact we have heard Russo even mention Necas makes me speculate that Guerin is being firm with Waddell and is saying something like "unless we get Necas, no deal". This is pure speculation though and I'm probably using a microscope between the lines but it does make some sense.

the Dub never played for the Habs, just their farm team for about 3 weeks, don't think they almost killed his career, did you suffer a brain injury? Go for an MRI ASAP

They traded for him, sent him down and then afterwards sent him home instead of letting him get playing time to try to earn an NHL contract the following season. If Arizona didn’t take a chance on him his career would have been over right there.
