I thought Asplund was more valuable to BUF than Pekar. The Athletic recently listed Asplund as BUF's highest rated F prospect, after Cozens.

I think hes saying Buffalo isnt paying enough. Pekar is a fan favorite though

Maybe you're right. As a Preds fan, I was trying to not ask for too much, but I'm happy to take more lol. Sabres are one of the few teams with a need for a 2nd line center and the cap space to absorb Johansen, so I didn't think the Preds were negotiating from a position of strength here.
