If Fletcher wants Dumba, he needs to start with Morgan Frost...not a pile of used parts and spare pieces!

Rubtsov is a pretty good prospect imo, floor of a 3C and the ceiling of a 2C (low end 2C but still), plus you're getting a first. I don't see how these are spare parts. Not like an offer of Friedman, a 2nd, and Laughton is being shown here.

Rubstov has a much better chance of being a 4th line center than a 2nd. So basically this offer is a 4C, a late-ish 1st, and 2 pieces the Wild have no use for.

Problem is the Wild have a million "floor of a 3rd liner ceiling of a 2nd liner" already. Greenway, Donato, Ek, and Kunin specifically. We need a "floor of a 2nd liner, ceiling of a 1st liner" if we move Dumba, and the prospect on PHI that matches that description is Frost. It's not a horrible proposal value-wise, I just think Guerin is holding out for quality if he does decide to move Dumba or Brodin.

On what basis can you say he's likely to be a 4C? You can't just label him a "4C" as of now. I think he's likely to be either a 3C, or middle six winger. Also, Frost is likely going to be a winger at the NHL level.

This is fair. I'm always in favour of quality over quantity as well, so I can see why the Wild would probably pass on this deal as well.

Would have to think Wild would start with asking for the home state wonder in Bobby Brink.
